This is the personal blogspace for me, Amanda, a mid-20's resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota. These are my observations about home and away, and everything in between. Summation of Findings

  1. I have committed to writing in this blog more frequently. Given the spotty record before, this shouldn’t be hard.
  2. I have realized that, although I do like to over-emote and attempt to nail down the exact and often smothering emotion with which I experience the everyday, that I can settle for structured blabbing and that will suit my general reading audience.
  3. I love you, general reading audience.
  4. I am not participating in National Novel Writing Month this year. I did for the past two years, and failed both times, the first due to personal life imploding (that story line is very overwrought and weepy), the second due to writing a different 40,000 words of content update (that story line actually has some merit, and may be picked up or shuttled into short story form).
  5. I am not setting any kind of “Blog Every Day!” goals, at least not out loud. Some days I’m going to not post, hopefully because Life will get in the way, and I can accept that.
  6. You, the collective, seem to read more often on weekdays than weekends, and probably while you’re at work. I can help you out, both with frequent weekly updates, and weekend surprise treats like this that you can discover on your bleary Monday mornings. “Oh ho!” you will cry, and scroll and scroll and scroll.
  7. A lot of blog hits are coming from people searching for information on kanji tattoos, or Tom Cruise’s teeth. I hope those people are at least being amused by what they read, though I’ll admit my all-time favorite searches that have plonked readers here are “crap in teeth” and “IS A TATTOO GOOD.” I hope you can both find what you’re looking for.
  8. I am going to be requesting feedback on some things in upcoming posts. I know a lot of you read, but are quiet. It’s ok to speak up, no matter who you are. Unless you’re That Guy.
  9. This upped commitment to blogging is not just exclusive for the month of November. It’s an old daily writing habit I’m trying to raise from the dead and hope to crap it’s not a zombie.
  10. Questions? Comments? Blinding flashes of insight? Comments are on, the author is listening.
